Structural Features and Tribological Properties of Detonation Gun Sprayed Ti–Si–C Coating

The paper considers the research results of structural-phase state and tribological characteristics detonation coatings based on Ti–Si–C, obtained at different filling volumes explosive gas mixture barrel a gun. analysis indicates that phase composition properties strongly depend technological parameters spraying. With an increase in volume up to 70% consist mainly TiC phase, because high temperature leads strong decomposition Ti3SiC2 powders. Thus, XRD confirm mixture’s volume, partial disintegration powders occurs after We established titanium carbosilicide 60% are characterized by wear resistance adhesive strength. Thermal annealing was performed spraying range 700–900 °C for 1 h reduce microstructural defects improve Ti–Si–C coating characteristics. As result heat treatment system 800 °C, we observed fraction TiO2 phases led 2-fold microhardness. This means after-heat-treatment can provide sufficient reaction time incomplete (TSC) during gun equal distribution elements coatings.
